What is this page for?

πŸ›°οΈ God's Eye View

A spy-satellite simulator in your browser β€” except the data is real. Live aircraft, ships, satellites, earthquakes, wildfires, traffic, and public cameras on a photorealistic 3D globe.

🌐 Launch God's Eye View β†—
Opens in a new tab β†’ http://localhost:4173

What's live

  • πŸ›©οΈ Live aircraft (ADS-B) β€” drop into a cockpit view or click-to-track any flight.
  • 🚒 Ships & vessels (AIS) and πŸ›°οΈ satellites (orbital elements).
  • πŸŒ‹ Earthquakes, πŸ”₯ wildfires (NASA FIRMS), and πŸš— traffic along real roads.
  • πŸ“· Public cameras (CCTV), πŸ“‘ radio, and a hands-free AI voice mode.

How it runs

This is a separate application (runtime: node) β€” it can't run inside this Python site, so the button above opens it in its own tab. To run your own instance:

  • git clone https://github.com/bilawalsidhu/gods-eye-view.git
  • cd gods-eye-view && npm ci && npm run dev
  • Open http://localhost:4173 β€” no API keys required to start.

The URL this page launches is configured by the GODSEYE_URL environment variable.

License & data note

Source code is MIT. Bundled and live third-party data (submarine cables, imagery, some feeds) is owned by its sources under their own terms β€” some non-commercial. Reference-only use for this personal site.

πŸ€– What this page is for

The launch page for a tool listed in the external-tools registry. It says what the tool is, how to run it and which environment variable holds its URL, then opens it in a new tab. Nothing of it runs inside this site, so if the other application is not up, the launch link simply fails.
